My paintings continue to interpret and explore the psychological undertones found in my family's black and white photographs from the 1930's, 40's and 50's.

My paintings reflect my attention to the details found within family photographs. Upon examination, there is often a sense of isolation and disconnect within the family. I select significant details that I enlarge and paint. I rely on my memory, experience or intuition for interpretation and explore the richness and texture of color to underscore the psychological undertones captured in a posed moment.
